Ruth Mills Wimberly

ANGIER, NC - Ruth Mills Wimberly (81) of 133 Lester Street Angier N.C., died on February 13, 2012, of Alzheimers related-illness. Ruth spent her last days peacefully, with the compassionate and supportive caregivers at UHS Pruitt in Durham, North Carolina. The family rejoices in our Mothers favorite scripture Psalm 23 - The LORD Is My Shepherd, and now she dwells in the house of the Lord forever.She was born March 24, 1930 as Ruth Elder Mills, the eldest daughter of Harvey and Naomi (Turlington) Mills. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matthew (M.D.) Dall Wimberly, brother Larry Wayne Mills, and sister; Doris Jean Smith. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Carol Wimberly; son Ricky Dale Wimberly of Angier; daughter Pamela (Chip) Pocock of Whitsett, N.C.; son Jeff Wimberly of Raleigh, granddaughter Amanda Brooke Marshall; grandson Matthew Christopher Wimberly, two sisters; Joanne Lepley, Patricia E. Cook, two brothers, Jimmy Mills and Charles S. Mills. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Brookside Retirement Center (Lillington) and of late UHS Pruitt in Durham, for their loving, doting, and dedicated care of our Mother. The family takes great comfort in knowing we will be held up in prayer and in thoughts of many, in our time of sorrow.Graveside service will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Angier, NCone hour prior to the graveside service.
