Ruth Ogburn Scholl

Raleigh - Ruth Ogburn Scholl passed away October 7, 2012 at Windsor Point in Fuquay-Varina, NC. A native of Wake County, she lived in Raleigh almost 50 years prior to moving to Windsor Point Retirement Community in Fuquay-Varina.Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Simeon L. Ogburn and Effie Adams Ogburn of Willow Springs; her husband of 55 years, J.B. Scholl; her brothers Glenn, Ray, Lee, S.L., Jr., and Rudolph Ogburn, all of Willow Springs; and her sister, Pearl Stroud of Erwin. Surviving are her sons, Steve and wife, Diann, of Fuquay-Varina and Craig and wife, Debbie, ofWake Forest; grandsons, Michael of Fuquay-Varina; Josh and wife, Amanda; Aaron and wife,Nicole; Justin Mathis; and Emily and husband, Brian Roberts; 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.Even though Ruth has no siblings living, they left her rich with nieces and nephews. All have stayed extremely close to her.A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Raleigh at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow in the mausoleum at Oakwood Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 824 N. Bloodworth St., Raleigh, NC 27604 where she has been a member since 1959.
