Ruth Rouse Chappell

Willow Spring– Ruth Rouse Chappell, 88, passed away January 2, 2022. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Rouse. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Chappell and son, Eddie Tant. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sonja Huff (Fayette); stepson, Timmy Chappell (Jenny); stepdaughters, Debra Johnson (Jack), Kathie Smith (Anthony), and Sherry Morgan (Stan); daughter-in-law, Barbara Tant; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; also, a close friend, Margie Huggins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 12:15 PM, at Caraleigh Baptist Church, Raleigh. The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 11:00 – 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 8th, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
