Ruth Shaw Jennings

Garner – Ruth Shaw Jennings, 74, passed away on February 1, 2023. She served as a physical therapist with UNC Hospitals for 22 years.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church of Garner. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, at First Baptist Church of Garner prior to the service.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, George “Chris” Jennings, Jr.; stepson, Allan B. Jennings, of Raleigh, NC; stepdaughter, LeEllen Corron, of Mayfield Heights, OH; three grandchildren, David C. Jennings, Joseph A. Corron, and Haylee J. Corron; and a sister, Rebecca A. Shaw, of Conover, NC.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her stepson, Christian Jennings, III; brothers, James A. Shaw, John D. Shaw, and Ervin D. Shaw; and sister, Glendal S. Burns.
