Sadie Murray Glover

July 23, 1922 — March 23, 2017

Sadie Murray Glover passed peacefully, surrounded by her children, on March 23, 2017 at age 94. She was born in Nash County to the late Willoughby L. Murray and Florah Bissette Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles W. Glover. She graduated from Kings Business College in Raleigh, and was employed as a bookkeeper for Jolly’s Jewelers, for Janie Jolly Griffin, and for Wilkerson ObGyn. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Spring Hope, and of First Baptist Church in Garner. She served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, WMU director and deacon. She will be remembered for the love she showed to her family, her church family and to all she met. Mrs. Glover is survived by daughter Linda McDaniel, son David Glover and wife Jackie, daughter Charlotte Tysinger and husband Gregg; by 5 granddaughters: Tracey Glover (Rob), Joanna Perry (Neil), Kathryn Eyster (James), Keri Weaver (Neal), and Ryan Williams (Brad); 11 great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth Murray and sister-in-law Oma Lee Murray. The family would like to thank Hillside Nursing of Wake Forest for their compassionate care for the past 5 years. Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church, Spring Hope on Tuesday, April 4. Visitation will be held at 11:30 in the fellowship hall followed by a service at 1 PM in the sanctuary. A graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh at 3 PM. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 177, Spring Hope, NC 27882.
