ANGIER –Samuel Chisenhall, 84, of Newport, died peacefully on Wednesday at Harborview Rehabilitation Center. He was born and raised in beautiful Angier, NC which he always referred to as home. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 - 1959 in Germany. He moved to Wildwood in 1977 and worked as a drywall contractor for local builders. He loved hunting, his hunting dogs, reading, sports, and NASCAR racing. He knew the Lord and read the Holy Bible from front to back 24 times. He was reading for his 25th time when he became sick. He has provided many fond memories for all who knew him. He is survived by his six children, daughters, Sandy McKee and husband, Tasman of Honolulu, HI, Vicki Chisenhall of Angier, sons, Tommie Chisenhall and wife, Becky of Newport, Connie Chisenhall and wife, Nancy of Newport, daughter, Kelly Chisenhall-Cundiff and husband, Mike of Newport and son, USAF MSgt Stephen Chisenhall and wife, Lara of Lillington, NC; 15 grandchildren whom he loved: Jessica, Cameron, Thomas, Amy, Scott, Matt, Shelby, Samantha, Connor, Tommie, Jr., Lonnie, Josh, Kayla, and Dakota. He also loved his seven great-grandchildren: his “special monkey” Amelia Grace, Raelyn, Hunter, Cutter, Cannon, Loftin, and Gunner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janet Thomas Chisenhall and granddaughter Annie Chisenhall Edwards. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, at 3:00 pm at Willow Spring Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Panther Lake Road and Hwy 42, Willow Spring, NC The family will receive guest after the service at 640 Chisenhall Road, Angier, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park #10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
