Sam Eunie Thompson

GARNER - Sam E. Thompson, 80, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Rex Hospital. He retired with CP L after 35 years of service. A graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Tuesday at Montlawn Memorial Park with Shane Brantley officiating. Surviving are his wife, Ann Whitley Thompson; son, Michael Thompson and wife Shelly; grandson Ryan Thompson; sister-in-law, Jeanette Thompson; nephew, Charlie Davis and wife Kimberly and their children, Brenden and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ella Mae Thompson and brother Phil Thompson.
