Samuel Melvin Stancil

GARNER - Samuel Melvin Stancil, 59, died unexpectedly Monday May 31, 2021, peacefully at his home in Garner NC. He was born December 17, 1961, in Garner North Carolina, the son of Melvin D. and Miranda M. (Benson) Stancil. He joined his sister, Patricia Stancil. Surviving in addition to his parents his fiancé TJ Lundy of Garner; his daughter Shannon Kleber of Raleigh; son Sammy Stancil of Willow Springs; son Noah Stancil of Willow Springs; brother’s Buster Stancil, Jerry Stancil, and Michael Stancil; sister’s Debbie Atwood and Linda Stancil; two dogs Gracie and Eli. Sam’s greatest achievement was his children; they were his everything in life. Later in life Sam went on to own and operate “SS Welding and Trailer Repair” where he diligently served the community for decades. He loved helping anyone in need and always did so without hesitation. He became well known for his skill and ability to fix and mend practically anything. His favorite activities included riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and spending time with his family. He was never the type of man to sit down for exceptionally long, always having a “project” to finish. Lighting up the room whenever he walked in and putting a smile on anyone's face. In part he was always the center of attention. Nobody was to feel like a stranger around Sam. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5th at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd, Garner NC 27529. All are welcome who wish to celebrate the life of our loved one.
