Sandra Evans Gardner

Angier- Sandra Evans Gardner, 77, passed away on Saturday at her home. A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Sandra was the daughter of the late Emmett and Georgia Eason Evans. Sandra was the beloved wife of James Brooks Gardner who preceded her in death in 2015. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Evans; and a brother, Hugh Evans. Sandra is survived by her son, Curtis Gardner and his wife, Mayi Tandouna of Apex; brother, Wendell Evans of Eden; grandchildren, Laura Machuca and James Gardner; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandra’s name to Cape Fear Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1332, Lillington, NC 27546, or to the charity of your choice.
