Sandra Fish Stancil

Sandra Fish Stancil 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August 9, 2024. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Wilton Fish and Elizabeth ‘Lib’ Fish Vaughan. Sandra was a Purchasing Agent at NCSU Purchasing Department and retired after 30 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger, her sister-in-law Bobbie and her loyal yellow lab Mollie.

Sandra was a strong family woman. She loved her son, grandson, and her dogs with all of her heart. Sandra helped take care of her mother while she was at the Laurels of Forest Glenn for the final years of her life.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, George ‘Skippy’ Stancil, her son Chris (Lisa) and one grandson, Tyler David Stancil, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Rex Cancer Center for their assistance in her care for the past 10 months.
