Sandra “Sandy” Reutzel

GARNER- Sandra “Sandy” Barker Reutzel, 61, passed away Thursday. Born in Alamance County, she is the daughter of Dr. Currie Dean Barker and Dorothy Warren Barker. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:45 am, prior to the service. In addition to her parents, Sandra is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steve Reutzel; daughter, Katie Smith and husband, Ken of Raleigh; son, Chris Reutzel of Garner; grandchild, Aiden Smith; sisters, Diane Tripp and husband, Roger of Lexington and Valorie Hallenbeck of Cary. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Graham and his staff at Cary Oncology for the incredible care that they gave Sandy during her brave battle with cancer.
