Sara Frances Tant

RALEIGH – Sara Frances Tant, 84, passed away Monday. She was the daughter of the late Carlie and Bernice Yow. You rarely found yourself around Frances when she wasn’t wearing a beautiful smile on her face. Being a member of the local bowling league, she found herself being a true fan of all things sports. In addition to fishing, where she had hoped to fill her retirement days with at the beach, some of her true joys were dancing, music (especially Elvis), gardening, nature and all things outdoors. Frances had a personality that could easily be described as “young at heart”. She is survived by her sons, Tommy and Kenneth Tant; sisters, Brenda Whitley and Doris McDaniel (Gene); brother, Jimmy Yow (Betty) and many loving nieces and nephews. Frances spent her last season of life living with and being lovingly taken care of by her sister, Brenda. Belinda, Sharon, Lisa and Sarah are the special angels who selflessly provided loving care in addition to Brenda. Frances thoroughly enjoyed all of their time and company together.
