Sarah Catherine Weeks

Sarah Catherine Weeks, Cathy, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the age of 65. She was a graduate of William G. Enloe High School and Wake Technical College. She was dedicated to her profession as a nurse for 39 years, the last twelve of which were served at Mayview Convalescent Center. Cathy was forced to retire early due to failing health. Cathy was accomplished at needlework and was an avid reader. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Raleigh where she enjoyed being a member of the bell choir. She found great happiness and peace in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jesse Weeks, a sister, Peggy Jane and a brother, Jeremiah. She is survived by her cousins, god sisters, and close friends. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh; burial will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Hand Bell Choir or the Wake County SPCA.
