Sarah “Sallie” Chalmers Houlder

TEGA CAY, SOUTH CAROLINA – Sarah “Sallie” Chalmers Houlder, 81, formerly of Raleigh, died Friday, December 4, 2020. Sallie was born in Dorchester County, South Carolina on May 16, 1939. She was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd - Episcopal, in downtown Raleigh until her health declined. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore A. DeLiesseline, III. Sallie is survived by her husband, Montague Stuart Houlder, Jr.; and her sister, Anne Altemose and her family. A private graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The Rev. Joyce Cunningham will officiate. Arrangements are by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Raleigh.
