Sarah Smith Pleasant

ANGIER - Sarah Smith Pleasant, 86, passed away at her home on Wednesday morning. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Burnice Roy Smith and Katie Sauls Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 12th in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sarah is survived by her son, Danny Pleasant and wife, Amy Pleasant of Angier; grandchildren, Colton Pleasant and wife, Dare Pleasant of Holly Springs, and Samantha Pleasant of Angier; in addition to many special nieces and nephews, she had four very special nieces, Sherry Crabtree, Peggy Baker, Beverly Coats, and Cindy Allen. She was preceded in death by her son’s father, Lyndell Pleasant; siblings, Betty Page, Leonard Smith, Retha Parker, and Harold Smith.
