Sharon F. Stephenson

Sharon Frances Stephenson, 60, died unexpectedly at home Dec. 29, 2017.  Sharon was born on May 8, 1957 to the late Grady O. Stephenson, Sr. and Doloris Boyd Stephenson Curl. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her nephew Blake S. Carroll. Sharon was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Broken Wing Fellowship. She worked as an RN for many years at Wake Medical Center and also with home health services. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 7 at Broken Wing Fellowship, 1837 E. Garner Rd. Raleigh. Officiating will be Rev. Charlie Carroll and Rev. Donald MacDuff. Burial will follow at Fellowship Community Cemetery, Old Fairground Rd.,  Angier. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church, Sunday from 1:30- 3:00 PM. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Susan S. Carroll and husband Ricky of Raleigh and a brother, Grady O. Stephenson, Jr. of Garner. Other survivors include nieces, Jessica C. Clinton (Brad) of Benson and Jenna B. Carroll of Charlotte, great-nieces, Blakely and Kendall Clinton and a host of friends and relatives all of whom will deeply miss her. We are heartbroken over losing our daughter, sister, aunt and friend, who was one of the sweetest and most caring individuals we’ve ever known.
