Sharon Morehead

Angier – Sharon Dorman Morehead went to her heavenly home on Friday September 24, 2021. She was born November 24, 1945, to Norwood and Virgie Dorman. After a long teaching career Fort Bragg School System, she continued her love of teaching at Central Carolina Community College to adults with learning disabilities. Sharon was a talented musician and often spent many years sharing gospel music with her family and with Danny Burch and his sister, Melissa. She served as church pianist at several churches over the years. Sharon never met a stranger and brought joy wherever she went. She shared her love of God to all and reached out to help so many that society often overlooked. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Morehead will lie in state at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier from 3:00 to 6:00 pm Monday for anyone who wishes to pay their last respect. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Virgie Byrd Dorman, father Norwood Dorman and brother David Paul Dorman. Sharon is survived by her son Jeremy Christian Morehead, brother Norwood Lynn Dorman and wife Angie, sister-in-law Dale Dorman; nephews, Stephen and Jonathan Dorman; and niece, Jamie Dorman.
