Sheila Kane Ashwell

ZEBULON, NC - Sheila Kane Ashwell, 89, loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, passed away June 16, 2018. Sheila was past president of the Lynchburg Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and was also a member of the Inner Circle. She retired from Simplimatic Engineering and Dillard Paper Company. A celebration of life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, July 15at Green Pines Baptist Church, Knightdale, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 -3:00 pm prior to the service. Survivors include her daughter, Dreama Semmont (Allan) of Zebulon, NC; son, Michael T. Ashwell (Robin) of Amherst, VA; daughter-in-law, Shirley Ashwell of Lynchburg, VA; brothers, R.B. Kane of Lynchburg, VA, Sterling G. Kane of Williamsburg, VA, and Mike R. Kane, Jr. of Asheboro, NC, as well as 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Ray Kane, Sr. and Luella Kincer Kane; her husband, Joseph R. Ashwell, Sr.; son, Joseph R. Ashwell, Jr., and sister, Brenda K. Ross.
