Shelton Leroy Price

RALEIGH – It is with great sadness that the Price family announces the passing of their dad, grandfather, and great grandfather, Shelton Leroy Price on November 17, 2017. Leroy was born on July 6, 1923, to the late Mary E. Wallace and James Price of Four Oaks. He was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Raleigh. He was also a resident of the Carillon Assisted Living Community in Knightdale. Leroy loved his church, his family, and his new family at Carillon. He loved to fish and work outside in his yard. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Temple Price in 2015. He leaves his cherished memories to his daughter, Janet Price Hales (Jim); son, Max S. Price (Jane); grandchildren, Wendy H. Raynor (David), James “Jimmy” Hales, Jr. (Robynn), Matthew S. Price and Lane A. Price; great grandchildren, Alyssa N. Raynor, Christopher “Austin” Raynor, Kaleb P. Watkins, Piper A. Hales, and Ansley G. Raynor. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The funeral will be held immediately after in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Leroy may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 5029 Old Stage Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family will receive friends at other times at 104 Chillingham Road, Garner.
