Sherry Lynn Cannon

Sherry L. Cannon passed away Saturday April 14, 2018. She is the daughter of the late Kirby Cannon and Lizzie Mae Jackson. She was born in Wilmington but lived most of her life in Harnett County. She was employed by Duke energy for over twenty years .Sherry was an active member of Soldiers and Angels. She had a love for gardening, country music, Pepsi, and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony and sister, Kathy Marshall. She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Wood of Dunn; son, Christopher Mayo of Coats; six grandchildren, Kendall Holder, Jayde Painter-Mayo, Brintli Wood, Aubrey Mayo, and Khloee and Holly Wood; sisters, Geraldine Hinson and Ann Middleton. Friends are welcome to stop by the home of Shelia Wood at 2880 Fairground Rd. in Dunn beginning Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 5:00 PM to visit with her, Christopher, and family.
