Sidney N. Jordan

Sidney N. Jordan, 76, of Raleigh, died Sunday at William Dunlap Hospice Center in Raleigh after a brief battle with leukemia. He was born February 25, 1937, to the late Etta and Sid Jordan. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Ernest. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Jordan; sister, Christine Porter; former wife, Frances Jordan; and special companion of 6 years, Barbara West. Mr. Jordan was a Navy veteran and had worked as a salesman the last 20 years of his career, winning several awards from his employer including Salesman of the Year.Mr. Jordan loved to travel and was proud he had visited all 50 states. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15th from 6-8 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Thursday, January 16th in the Bryan-Lee Funeral chapel (with the Rev. Marshall Stewart officiating).
