Simpson Odell Currin
October 6, 1944 — January 28, 2023
On January 28th, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and coach went home to be with the Lord. He was born the sixth of nine children to Walter Odell Currin and Mary Belle Adcock Currin.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Debra Welch Currin; son, Andrew Currin, wife, Jill and son, Ryder; David Currin, wife, Dawn, daughter, Delaney Gardner (husband, Len) and son, Dawson Currin; daughter, Marcy Parrish, husband, Kelly, son, Kason and daughter, Makena. Sisters: Frances Palmiter and Carolyn Morris; Brothers: Edward Currin and Richard Currin, wife Emily. Sister-in-law, Willie Sue Currin and Brother-in-law, Elbert Rambeaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Belle Currin, his brothers, Joe “J.B.” Currin, Marshall Currin, Willard Currin and sister Ann Rambeaut.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC.
Graveside Service at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens (905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526) at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
