Stephen Andrew Starnes

Stephen Andrew Starnes died unexpectedly on Sunday, just 2 weeks after his 18th birthday. Stephen was the kind of person who really could make friends with anyone and was always willing to do anything to help out his friends. His unique perspective on life encouraged those who knew him to contemplate the world around them as deeply as he did. His creative mind drew him to music, a craft he spent countless hours perfecting on his own as well as in collaboration with friends. He also took great joy in playing with his dogs that he named Koda and Myco. Stephen is survived by his parents Anita Starnes of Wendell, David and Susan Starnes of Cary; sister Ashley Starnes; step-brother David Lynge; his paternal grandparents Lance and Kaye Starnes of Zebulon; aunts and uncles Gordon and Linda Wilson of Smithfield, Margaret Hewitt of Willow Springs, Graham Wilson of Cary, Tracy Wessel of Spokane, WA, Leigh Anne and David Geisler of Matthews, and Lori and Anthony DelGuidice of Catonsville, MD; and his cousins Amber Nappi, Lance Wilson, Leslie Betts, Lauren Wilson, Matt Hewitt, and Jake Geisler. Stephen is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dr. Ian C. Wilson and his wife Janet. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh at 11:00 am. There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 18th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh.
