Stephen “Curly” Hiltbruner

CLAYTON-Stephen “Curly” Hiltbruner, 59, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. A memorial service will be be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Bryan-Lee Chapel in Garner. In celebration of Curly’s life, food and fellowship will immediately follow at the Garner Woman’s Club: 230 US Hwy 70 West, Garner. He was born in Tallahassee, FL on December 1, 1957 to the late Earnest Hiltbruner and Noreen Maher Hiltbruner. Curly worked for 32 years with Jerry Wagoner Builders. An avid gardener, Curly was very proud of his tomatoes and the blue ribbons won at the NC State Fair. He enjoyed reading, fishing , his meticulously kept yard, and time spent with the cat named Angus. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family which includes his wife, Belinda Edwards Hiltbruner; mother, Noreen Maher Hiltbruner of Raleigh; step-mom, Janette Hiltbruner of Weaverville, NC; son, Dustin Hiltbruner of Waynesville; brothers, Mark Hiltbruner and wife, Carolyn of Pierre, SD, Brian Hiltbruner of Raleigh; nephew, Kelly Hiltbruner; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and a brother-in-law, Raymie Edwards.
