Steven Harold Koehl

GARNER - SteveKoehl age 50, died November 17, 2011. He is survived by his mom, Janice Koehl; brothers, Harry Koehl and wife Kathy, Johnny Koehl, Jimmy Koehl and fianc Melinda, Matthew Koehl and wife Charlene; nieces, Tiffany Koehl and fianc Johnathan and Jessica Koehl; nephews, Scott Koehl, Hunter Koehl and Kyle Patterson, maternal grandmother, Jessie Williams of Rocky Mt. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Harry and brother Michael.Steve graduated from Garner High School in 1981. He then began a successful career as a Refrigeration Technician. He worked at Fowler and Sons, Inc. for the last 23 years where he brought much laughter with his witty Seinfeld reenactments. Steve had a love for the outdoors. His favorite times were spent at the hunting club with his brothers. He also loved to cook and hangout in the shop in his backyard with the twinxs, just enjoying life with his dog and his cat. He enjoyed fishing at the coast offshore or at the James River catching Croakers. He owned a number of Harleys, his last being a Streetglide, his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking long trips or just meeting at Kick Back Jacks with the guys for dinner. He loved to enter bike shows and enjoyed the competition and fellowship that normally awarded him a trophy.Steve enjoyed life to the fullest; and lived it with full determination. Steve was a beloved son, loyal brother, loving uncle and friend who always had your back.Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 20 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home and the Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 21, 2011 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner, with burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Steve requested contributions be made to St. JudeChildrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
