Sue Carolyn Stephenson

FUQUAY-VARINA - Sue Carolyn Stephenson, 82, was born in Harnett County to parents Lottie and LeVander Stephenson. She passed away early Wednesday morning, Oct 11th, 2023.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:00 pm at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier.

After receiving her degree she taught school for 30 years in Fayetteville NC, retired, and then moved to Fuquay-Varina. She was an active member and Sunday school teacher for New Hope Presbyterian Church for many years.

She was a very caring and loving member of our family. Sue had no children but was like a mother to all of her nieces and her nieces' children.

Sue is survived by her sister, Patricia Vaughn; nieces, Donna Stephenson, Sharon McNeill (Robbie), April Wesenberg (Dan); great-niece, Stephanie Lane; great -nephews, Jay Lane (Kayla), Stephen Lane, and Logan Parrish (Tenisha); great-nephew, Daniel Wesenberg.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Stephenson and Tommy Stephenson.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for you to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, a cause very dear to Sue's heart.
