Sue Freeman

RALEIGH - Sue Hilliard Freeman of Raleigh, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 8th. A dedicated employee of the North Carolina Department of Transportation - Bridge Maintenance Division, Sue retired after more than 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Freeman. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Janet Hilliard.

She is survived by daughter, Wendy Ross and husband Chris of Greenville; daughter Beth Faucette of Raleigh; grandchildren, Morgan Furman (Trey), Taylor Narron (Dustin), Hunter Freeman (Katie), Justin Faucette (Carter), Joseph Faucette, and Will Faucette (Angel); great grandchildren, Annabelle and Charlotte Furman, Kaden Narron, Cole Freeman, Addy and Harper Faucette, and Lainey Faucette; sister, Margaret Lusk of Garner; sister-in-law, Linda Morris of Zebulon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by son, Curtis Freeman; son-in-law, Dale Faucette; great granddaughter, Eloise Furman; sister, Jo Branch and husband Vernon, as well as sister, Diane Murphy and husband Bobby.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th, 2025 at 1:00pm at Ebenezer Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Rd Raleigh, NC 27610. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
