Sue Lassiter Horne

Raleigh - Sue Lassiter Horne, 94, passed away on Monday. A native of Wake County, she is the daughter of the late Charlie and Lougenia Whitley Lassiter. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-2:30 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Matthews and husband, Bernard; son, Jerry Whitby and wife, Kathy, both of Garner; grandchildren, Robert Matthews, Jr. and wife, Janet, Jason Whitby and wife, Brandy and Jeremy Whitby; great-grandchildren, Jessie Matthews, Jacob Whitby and Andrew Whitby. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Lawndale Manor and the staff of Rex Healthcare for the exceptional care that was provided to Mrs. Horne, and a special thank you to Dr. Michael Rees.
