Susan K. Johnson

Susan K. Johnson, 76, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late James and Della Johnson. In addition to her loving parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and one sister. She retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital after 33 years of service. Funeral Services will be 11:30 am Saturday at Garner Advent Christian Church, 1120 Vandora Springs Road, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Johnson; daughter, Janet Woodard and husband, Deryle; grandchildren, Dustin Woodard and wife, Kristen and Derek Woodard; one great-grandchild, Daniel; two step-sons, Denny and Willie Johnson; sister, Katie Honeycutt and brother, Clifton Johnson. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the service.
