Susan Marie Burkard

Susan Marie Burkard, 59, a resident of Angier, NC entered unto rest at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC on Monday, May 22, 2017. Preceded by her parents William and Joan Doyle, and sisters Patti and Cathleen, she is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, David Burkard, daughter Sharron Glen and husband Shyquinn, son Billy Burkard and wife Krista, her seven grandchildren, Anthony, Mykayla, Sarai, Kyleigh, Lily, Madisyn, and Shy, her sister Lori, and brothers Bill and Dan. A graduate of Liverpool High School, Sue held various jobs throughout her career, all of which centered on working with the public. Most recently, Sue worked at a library and an assisted living facility where she started a choir. She loved people, especially children, and making them laugh. She had a zest for life and a remarkable sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, the beach, and spoiling her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. There will be no calling hours. On Friday May 26, 2017 at 11:00am there will be a memorial service at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Liverpool, NY.  There will be a reception immediately following the services at the Church Parish Center.
