Sylvia Matthews

Sylvia Clark Matthews, age 69, of Fuquay-Varina, NC died March 17, 2025 in her home. She was born on February 9, 1956 in Wake County, NC to the late Bryant and Lois Harper Clark.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Matthews; her son, Brett Matthews and his wife, Amanda; her grandchild, Blakely Matthews; her sister, Amy Hinnant and her husband, Chris; her brother-in-law, Gary Matthews and his wife, Kim and her nieces and nephews, Clark Hinnant, Hannah Ridgley, Blake Matthews, Bryant Clark and Katie Lutz.

Her family will receive family and friends Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 2:00 to 2:45 pm in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 10005 Lake Wheeler Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
