Sylvia Mclean Hocutt

Raleigh - Sylvia McLean Hocutt, 75, died Saturday after a valiant battle with cancer. A native of Wake Co., she was the daughter of the late Eunie Mac and Alma Williams McLean. Sylvia graduated from Needham Broughton High School in 1956. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving is her husband of 55 years, James Leonard Hocutt; a daughter, Eunice H. Haynes, four grandchildren, Jessie, Emily, Brooke and Troy Haynes; and a brother, W. Richard Dickie McLean and his wife, Kay of Raleigh and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eunie A. McLean, Jr. and a sister, Margaruite McLean Stephenson. The family will receive friends at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday.
