Sylvia "Sylver" Taylor Morgan

Sylvia Taylor Morgan, 87, affectionately known as Sylver, went to her heavenly home,Thursday, June 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Russell Albert Taylor and Idalene Hinton Taylor May. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Richard Morgan. Sylver was also preceded in death by her two brothers Albert Taylor and Dan Taylor. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 East Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. The family will receive friends at Mount Moriah Baptist Church following the memorial service. Survivors include her daughters, Melody Morton and husband, Jere, Melinda Lassiter and husband, Steve(Lance), Maria Barbour and husband, Moe, and MaryJohn Palmer and husband, Buff; grandchildren, J4 Morton and wife, Brooke, Jessi Cook and husband, Chris, Josh Lassiter, Morgan Jones and husband, Stuart, Shea Barbour, and John Dylan Palmer; and 5 great granddaughters. She is also survived by 3 loving nieces, a loving nephew and special family friend, Patricia Vidal. The Morgan family would like to thank all of Sylvia’s kind and loving Hospice and Transitions caregivers and especially her caregiver and friend, Angie Jones.
