WILMINGTON, NC- Teresa Moore Rue, 62, died Thursday at her home. Born in Kentucky, raised in Garner, she is the daughter of Joan Sammons Moore and the late R.W. Moore. She was a graduate of Garner Senior High School and became a RN in 2006, working with Wake Med Cary. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends following the service. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Bill Rue; daughters, Kari Michelle Rue of the home, Ronda Shaw of Garner and Wanda Gattis (Glenn) of Wilmington; son, Christopher Brandon Abbott of Wilmington; sisters, Kim Holder of Wilmington, Angela Mitchum (John), Christine Moore (Chuck) and Jayme Dyches (Foy), all of Aiken, SC; brothers, Terry Sammons (Wanda) of Kentucky, Terry Moore (Michelle) of Wilmington and Daniel Moore (Bethany) of Garner; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brother, Bill Moore; sister, Belinda Huff and step-mother, Donna Cook.
