Teri “Turdie” Call Pearce, 66, of Smithfield, passed away, Thursday, February 3, 2022. Teri was born May 31, 1955, in Houston, TX, to the late Richard William and Ruby Doris Parrish Call. She loved shopping and would spend hours with her Daughter April and granddaughter Zoey, hunting for good deals and eating good food. She loved taking her family and many babies on weekend trips, like the Mr.Thomas beach house, Tweetsie Railroad, Blue Ridge Parkway. She loved morning coffee and cookies and afternoon dips in the pool with Jimmy. She made any holiday so special with treats and presents for all her loved ones. She enjoyed and appreciated every day she had on this earth, and she is now flying high with angels protecting all of us. She will always be very loved but missed so deeply. Turdie finally got her blessing, which is to be a Angel of God. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park, in Clayton, will follow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Teri is survived by her husband, James Ray Pearce; daughter, April Pearce; step sons, Robbie D. Pearce and Richard W. Pearce; granddaughter, Zoey Rae Pearce; sister, Cindy Call; brothers, Ronald, Donald, and Richard Call; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Teri was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley “Pat” Hicks and Doris Elaine Call.
