Terri Smythe Massengill died in Raleigh, NC April 26, 2018 after more than 5 yrs of dealing with breast cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1957 to Charles & Mary Smythe (both deceased), Terri is survived by a large and loving family beginning with her loving husband Mark, with whom 35 years was not enough, but well lived. Mark & Terri worked successfully together for more than 30 years in the building industry through Mark’s company, building relationships over the years that turned into warm friendships. Many hours were spent with volunteering over the years, from Hopeline, Red Cross, Helping Horse, Habitat for Humanity, SPCA. But none inspired Terri as much as Saving Grace Animals For Adoption, NC. Her surviving pups, Tater & Jack are alumni of S.G., and the best of the litter! There never seemed to be enough time or funding as she would have liked; please help this amazing organization continue its mission. Also surviving Terri are her 5 sisters and their families: Kathy & Bob Sholinsky, Patricia & Alex Matos, Michele & Dennis Wilson, Judy & Marcus Tunstall, Maura & David Pope. Nephews, nieces, greatsTed, Ryan Sholinsky, Chris, Matt, Elizabeth Wilson, Josh, Zach Tunstall, Emily Pope, Will, Jake, Max Sholinsky, Lily, Riley Wilson, Luke Tunstall and their extended families. Dearest Jeanne Mulert… Mark’s Family, Eunice McDonald, Joan & Rene Langford, Lynn & Mark Thorne, Wayne & Amy Massengill, nephews and nieces, Eric, Susan Langford, Blake, Brandon Massengill, Jake, Anna Massengill. All of Terri & Marks’ family were the best part of life and it has been her greatest joy to be involved in their lives. Special thanks to our dear friends, Rev. Craig Troutman and Anna, and for Raleigh Moravian Church, where service will be held on May 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at 1816 Ridge Rd., Raleigh. Family & friends are invited to gather in the fellowship hall after the service. Memorial contributions would be delightfully appreciated to: Saving Grace Animals for Adoption NC.
