Thelma Shirlee Moomau

Thelma Shirlee Moomau passed away on November 1st 2023 at home with her husband James (Jim) Evans Moomau. She is survived by her children Mark Rogers, Kathy Perry, Kevin Rogers, Steve Moomau, and Susie Wallace.She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved deeply.

Much of her adult life was spent at home caring for her children. Later in life she successfully partnered with her husband in running a chain of retail shoe stores. In her free time she and Jim loved to travel all over the United States in their RV, and on occasion would jump across the pond to explore Europe.

She loved to create, you could always find her in her craft room sewing, gluing or cross stitching something for her family. She also loved to decorate for every holiday. Most recently she found joy in spending time with her great grandchildren, and loved being a part of their lives. Family was very important to her.

She was know for being generous with her time and resources. If anyone needed anything she was there to give an encouraging word or helping hand. Her heart was big and her smile even bigger. She was loved by all, and will truly be missed.
