He started and built multiple successful businesses with his wife as co-owner that were commercial sound services, retail television, appliance and furniture stores while in parallel developing and managing their real estate property business. Ted and Bobbie shared a wonderful and blessed life together raising their three children and enjoyed traveling for business and pleasure. His passion for life, commitment to his family and friends was always evident in his great smile, laughter, engaging conversations interwoven with genuine interest and care. As member of Trinity Baptist Church, Raleigh, the Garner Optimist and North Raleigh Rotary Clubs he was actively involved in Sunday School, community and spent quality time with family, friends, employees, church and civic club members. With a blessed abundance of ambition and drive, his enthusiasm for learning, sharing and teaching was one of his gifts. He would always encourage and help develop others to achieve their goals. Ted took great pride in seeing people succeed and believed in service above self. His personal commitment in "dressing for success," led him to being meticulous in his appearance which contributed to "you feel how you look" belief. Ted loved spending time with Bobbie in Blowing Rock and enjoyed the surrounding blue ridge mountain area exploring and meeting people. He was a ardent reader and had much joy listening to country, gospel music and various personal development authors such as Zig Ziglar and Dale Carnegie. Lovingly called Mr.Ted, Ted Mac or Theodore, he was a great listener and could focus on how to solve problems for the benefit of others. A service of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh.
