Thomas J. Chmelewski

Thomas Joseph Chmelewski, 49, died Tuesday at his home. A native of New Jersey, he was the son of the late Edward John and Jane DeTora Chmelewski. Tom was passionate about two causes, the St. Baldricks Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either of these causes in the memory of Thomas J. Chmelewski. A funeral mass will be held Sunday, 2:00 pm at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church, Garner. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.Survivors include his wife, Ginger Chmelewski; daughters, Emily and Lauren Chmelewski; son, Mitchell Chmelewski; sisters, Pam Mehta, Maria Creeden, Nancy Chmelewski, Mary Wheaton, Kathleen Rehrey; brothers, Ed and Michael Chmelewski; father-in-law, John Sondey; sister-in-law, Pam Doyle and brother-in-law, Tom Sondey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Chmelewski.
