Thomas Langdon

GARNER- Thomas Harold Langdon, 77, died Wednesday. A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Lillie Bullock Langdon. Mr. Langdon was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Garner, as well as the Vandora Masonic Lodge. He had many fond memories of travel and dancing with the Dixie Twirlers Square Dance Club. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 prior to the service. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia Norris Langdon; son, Steve Langdon and wife, Jean of Garner; sisters, Mary Frances Fletcher and husband, Gene of Durham, Peggy Williams and husband, Marvin of Garner, Christine Byrd and husband, Bobby of Angier; brothers, Roscoe Langdon and wife, Linda of Garner, Bobby Langdon and wife, Elaine of Matthews; granddaughter, Tricia Gallagher and husband, Dan of Garner; great-granddaughter, Lillie Ann Gallagher, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his special neighbors, Nelson Monroe and Jackie. He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Lloyd and Bruce Langdon.
