Thomas Lee Jones

Raleigh- Thomas Lee Jones, 84, of Raleigh died late Friday evening at Rex Healthcare. Tom was born in Wake County to the late Albert Watson Jones and Helen Smitherman Jones. He served in the Marine Corp. during WWII and had a long career as an electrician. He was a member of Millbrook United Methodist Church. His wife of 56 years, Alma Hux Jones died in 2005. He is survived by his daughters, Sharlene Jones and her husband, Jerry of Angier; Lessie Kilgore and her husband, John of Berea, OH; sons, Dicky W. Jones and his wife, Jenny of Raleigh; Ricky T. Jones and his wife, Sandra of Zebulon; brothers; Albert W. Jones, Jr. of Raleigh and Bobby Ray Jones of Greensboro; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
