Thomas Michael Huels

Thomas Michael Huels, 68, of Cary, North Carolina passed away surrounded by his loved ones on July 25, 2018. Tom was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend that was always full of life. Born to Helen and Charles Huels in Chicago, Illinois, Tom was a devoted husband and loving father to his five children, their spouses and grandchildren. Tom’s passion was family and he touched everyone he met with his huge capacity of life and love. While he had many pastimes, Tom enjoyed golfing throughout his life and it became one of his main retirement joys while also building friendships and making wonderful memories. He was able to enjoy his love of water whether he was boating, cruising, fishing or relaxing and listening to the sounds of the ocean. Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret, and their children (and spouses), Michael (Heather), Steven (Darah), Teri (George), Christine (Gavin) and TJ (Megan); brothers Charles (Agnes), William, and Patrick (Mary); He was known as Grandpa and Papa to William, James, Joseph, Maggy, Billy, and Oliver. Tom is preceded by his parents and his siblings, James and Jacqueline; and sister-in-law, Marion.
