Thomas William Hargis

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas "Tommy" Hargis, affectionately known as Tommy, yet who preferred Thomas. This gentle soul was born on December 5, 1964, and left us too soon on January 31, 2025.

Thomas was known to all as a helper and a source of laughter. His presence was a beacon of warmth and kindness in the Kenly community that he so adored. He had a unique ability to bring smiles to the faces of everyone he encountered, whether they were longtime friends or recent acquaintances.

Thomas is lovingly remembered by his devoted family: his son, Travis Hargis; his mother, Judith Hargis; his siblings, Tracy Hargis, Tammy Aiello, and Tina Hargis; as well as his nephews and niece, Troy Hargis, Matthew Aiello, and Kelly Moore. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene "Gene" Thomas Hargis. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of those he has left behind.

Although we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate his life and the joy he brought to so many. His spirit lives on in the many lives he touched and in the laughter he brought into our world. Thomas will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and the Kenly community. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2pm at Baptist Center Church, 2163 Ranch Road, Clayton, NC.
