Timothy J. Bassett

Manhattan, NY - Timothy J. Bassett, 36, of New York, NY, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2017. He was born May 16, 1980, and grew up in NC. Afterwards, he moved to NY to utilize his artistic talent in designing custom glass. Tim owned and operated his own successful small business in Manhattan, New York, making quick friends with his clients with his big smile and integrity. Tim loved spending quality time with his family and friends, at champagne brunches, extravagant dinners and NYC rooftops. He loved to travel, recently returning from a dream trip to Italy. The Saratoga Racetrack was also a favorite, betting on the horses with a vodka Red Bull in hand. Mr. Bassett is survived by his mother, Alyce M. Laird, of Garner, the love of his life, Samantha Choppa, his father Ralph Bassett of Southport, NC, a younger brother of Four Oaks, Larry Estes Jr. Also brother, Scott Bassett of Wendell. He will be missed by so many, and remembered by all. Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Highway, Garner, NC. Graveside services will be held Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC.
