Tobi Dicker, z”l, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born on May 3, 1947, in Germany, in a Displaced Persons camp, and moved to Brooklyn as a young child. She married and raised two children Ken, z”l, who passed away, and Erica. Tobi’s first husband, Mark Warshavsky, z”l, passed away, and she married Sig Dicker, who she was happily married to for 28 years, and moved to Cary, NC. Tobi had a meaningful career at a fertility specialist center that helped many families who struggled to have children.
Tobi was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved traveling the world and visited every continent except Antarctica, typically on a cruise ship. She enjoyed playing bridge with her husband competitively, becoming a life master. She also enjoyed going to the theatre and symphony. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed entertaining, including her Chavurah, and volunteered for many Jewish organizations. She also enjoyed playing a competitive game of Rummikub and Mexican Train Dominoes with her kids and grandkids.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 2pm at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery – 450 North State Street, Raleigh, NC 27529. Tobi is survived by her husband, Sig, children, grandchildren and lived to enjoy four great-grandchildren.
