ANGIER - Tommy Stephenson, 78, passed away on Sunday. A native of Johnston County, he is the son of the late Thlymor and Bessie Pearl Blackmon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 PM at Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Marie, children Eugene Stephenson, Rose Massey and husband, Tracy, Ron Stephenson and wife, Tammi; grandchildren, Ray Stephenson and wife, Tiffany, Michael Stephenson and wife Melissa, Cameron Stephenson and wife Tracy, Courtney Hibbard and husband Charlie, Melissa McLaurin and husband, Brad, Lori Williams and husband, Jimmie, Brandon Stephenson and wife, LeighAnne, Audrey Fleischer and husband James; great-grandchildren, Allison Hales, Ryan Hibbard, Victoria Moore, Brianna Stephenson, Kaitlyn McLaurin, Trevin Hibbard, Gracie Stephenson, Lexie Moore, Tyler Fleischer, Addisyn McLaurin, Andrew Fleischer, Brayden Stephenson, Gabi Williams, Eva Johnson, Savannah Stephenson, Garrett Williams, Nicholas Stephenson and Cassidy Hibbard; sisters, Itha Byrd and husband, Evett, Donnie McLeod, Shirley Elliott and husband Fred, Shelby Cobb and husband Alfonzo, Peggy Stetler and husband Larry, Judy Byrd and husband, Frank, Carolyn Champion and husband Roy, Brenda Harper and husband, Manford and Cherry Hoyer and husband, Paul. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his grandchild, Shannon Massey, sister, Olivia Abbate and spouse, Bill; brother-in-laws, Harold McLeod and Richard Tart. The family will receive friends Tuesday night 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
