Tony K. Horton, Sr. age 66, is now at peace. He served our country as a United States Marine and he was the brother to two sisters, Judy Dillon and Karen Bondurant. Good memories. He loved cars, things that could go fast! He loved music, could play just about anything on the guitar, and passed along that gift to his children, Tricia Horton, Christy LaFountain and Tony Horton, Jr. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren: Makayla Horton, Brianna Horton, Alonso Rodriguez, Ricardo Esquivel and Brandon Johnson. Throughout enduring nine difficult years of medical care, Tony always had a joke to tell and a story to share. From his bed at the North Carolina State Veteran’s Home in Fayetteville, he consistently wanted to know two things: what kind of car you were driving and what you brought him good to eat! He is finally home; he had mellowed out over the years and accepted Jesus as his Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inez and Cortelle Horton. They stand now together in Jesus’ presence. And with that, we rest in assurance that we will see Tony Horton, Sr. again in Heaven. A Memorial Gathering, with Military Honors, will be held to honor Tony’s life on Sunday, August 21st at 6:00 p.m. at Bryan Lee Funeral Home in Angier, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The CrossWalk Church, 6720 NC 210 N, Angier, NC 27501 in memory of Tony Horton, Sr. As his family, we now have on our hearts “It Is Well, It Is Well, It Is Well With My Soul”.
