Tracy Lynn (Bishop) Waitt

Tracy passed away at home on Tuesday, March 1st after a long battle with cancer.    She was born in Noblesville Indiana and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1977.  In 1982 she married her high school sweetheart Reid, and they had their first child, Taylor, in 1985.  After moving to Illinois, their daughter Kathryn was born in 1990.  For the next 25 years, Tracy and family lived in and around Johnston County NC with a brief excursion back to the Midwest, and then to the U.K.  In 2014 Tracy was blessed with a granddaughter, Ava, whom she took great pride in spoiling.  Tracy loved the beach, and in the last several years spent many weeks at Oak Island NC where she kept an open door to friends and family for visits and vacations.  She loved and is loved by family and friends in North Carolina, Indiana, and elsewhere. She is survived by her husband Reid of 34 years, son Taylor (Katie) and granddaughter Ava of Benson NC, daughter Kathryn of Blacksburg VA, her parents Jack and Shelby Bishop of Lebanon IN, and her brother Terry (Kim) Bishop of Frankfort IN. The family will hold a memorial and remembrance service at 2:00 pm Sunday March 13 at the Christian Liberty Church in Sheridan IN.
