Troy Dean Caskey

Garner, NC  -  Troy Dean Caskey, 82, died at Duke University Hospital on Friday, September 1, 2017.  A native of Sioux Rapids, Buena Vista Co., Iowa, he was the son of the late Asa Boyd and Mary Irene (Andrie) Caskey.  Troy served in the United States Air Force for 20 years from 1954 to 1974 before retiring as a Master Sergeant. Surviving are his wife, Delores “Dee” (Baker) Caskey; son, Kevin Troy Caskey and wife Deanne (McKenzie) of Parker, CO, Brian Dean Caskey and wife Holly (Gray) of Las Vegas, NV and Christopher Alan Caskey and wife Lori Anne (Gard) of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Tabitha Ann (Caskey) Tibbitts, Mckenzie Ann (Caskey) Jones, Madison Ann Caskey, Grant Christopher Caskey and Sage LeeAnne Caskey; six great-grandchildren, Hallie Ann Tibbitts, Toby Kyle Tibbitts, Mallory Ann Tibbitts, Brody Brian Tibbitts, Audrey Ann Jones and Isabel Ann Jones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Boyd Asa Caskey. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 4, 2017 at Oakland Presbyterian Church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
