RALEIGH – Troy Marshall Wilkinson, 23, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2021 while attending Arizona State. Troy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Benjamin Joseph Martin, Sr.; and his paternal grandmother, Elda Arese Wilkinson. He is survived by his mother, Marsha Martin Wilkinson and father, David Wilkinson; brother, David Martin Wilkinson; maternal grandmother, Lucy Smith Martin; paternal grandfather, Donald Wilkinson and wife, Susan Wilkinson; a host of extended family and friends; and his canine companion, Jazz. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, April 8, 2021 between the hours of 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. The family respectfully requests those who are able to enter the funeral home’s front door (though handicap access is available at the rear entrance). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh. Dr. Benjamin Martin, Troy’s uncle, will officiate.
